C-H arylation of tryptophan by enzyme-PdNPs bionanohybrid.
Palladium nanoparticles enzyme aggregate (PANEA) were prepared using Candida antarctica B lipase (CALB) and palladium salt by precipitation and subsequent in situ Pd nanoparticle synthesis. Pd (0) nanoparticles (PdNPs) appeared embedded in the protein structure. The heterogenous catalyst obtained through this green, efficient and straightforward method was successfully used for the arylation of tryptophan (C-H activation) by [ArN₂]BF₄. The reaction took place in air, at room temperature using ethyl acetate as solvent.
